Father's Day under the aspens
We'll be seeing Daddy on Wednesday and can't wait to celebrate his first Father's Day then! For Grampie's first grampie Father's Day, he requested a picnic and hike in high country. We set up Ryan's "little nursery" tent and had a great time. Ryan looks out at sweeping vistas and sighs. It's a beautiful thing to watch.

Picnic day
Saturday we went on a picnic up behind Colorado National Monument. It was gorgeous, with lots of wild mountain irises growing nearby. Ryan had a blast. He loves the outdoors. Each evening, we take a sunset walk and he gets all excited when we bring out the front carrier for it. He loves to visit the cows that live near Grammie and Grampy's house.
We miss everyone back home!

I'm in Colorado!
Well, we made it to the Centennial state!
Despite standing in 6 lines and being searched and patted down by security, Ryan was an angel on the three leg flight to Grand Junction, Colorado, where we were met with big grins and huge hugs at Walker Field, the airport in GJ.
Yesterday started with breakfast and books and ended with a dip in the swimming pool in Grammie and Grampie's back yard.
The accomodations are very wonderful for a precocious crawler, complete with table leg jungle and vast expanses of carpet. All child proof, of course!
We miss Daddy, but he'll be here soon.
Check back often for posts about Ryan's excellent adventure!
